SAN DIEGO, CA – San Diego is making a splash on Amazon Prime Day, July 8-11, with a special promotion showcasing participating San Diego Tourism Marketing District hotels across the city. The month-long campaign will feature exclusive hotel deals in San Diego during the Prime Day sale (July 8–11), with more than 70 properties offering a minimum 20% discount during that window and at least 10% before (July 1-7) and after (July 12-31).

From luxurious beachfront resorts to family-friendly stays, the limited-time offer is designed to drive visitation amid today's market headwinds and spotlight San Diego's diverse travel offerings. Travel must be booked by July 31, 2025 and completed by December 31, 2025.*

Organized by the San Diego Tourism Authority in partnership with Amazon, this exclusive promotion invites Prime members to book stays on Expedia Group at a wide selection of San Diego hotels, with deals highlighting the region's diverse experiences from Mission Bay to Downtown, La Jolla to North County.

“This is a unique opportunity to put San Diego in front of millions of potential travelers at the very moment they're looking to shop and book,” said Daniel Kuperschmid, President and CEO of the San Diego Tourism Authority. “We're proud to partner with Amazon to shine a spotlight on our destination and drive meaningful business to our hotels and broader tourism community.”

San Diego is the first West Coast destination to participate in the Prime Day travel promotion and is part of SDTA's broader marketing strategy to expand visibility and navigate market softness by tapping into one of the biggest shopping days of the year.
